We are driven by the potential to develop medicines we need from plants we use! Our long term vision is to harness indigenous knowledge of plants in Africa, to create new formulations to treat diseases and symptoms. We plan to use technology and innovation, to reimagine indigenous African medicine in the face of new disease problems, ultimately to develop solutions!

Dr. Bismark Appiah has a background in Molecular Medicine, Neurobiology, and Single-cell Genomics. Bismark is a SciEntrepreneur - a scientist with a heart for entrepreneurship. Duanyame is the brainchild of his belief that quality affordable medicines can be made from native plants used over many generations in Africa.
